Career Counseling
As a teen focusing on something so permanent like a career is not easy. Teens are at a place in life that does not usually require them to make life changing decisions, going to college or vocational school is just the opposite of this. Making a decision such as attending college can feel daunting for a teen. Teens require guidance, exploration and education before they can make a career path for themselves. Career counseling can help teens further explore schools, degrees and careers. It is important for your teen to explore all of these through career counseling to help them make a more informed decision. If your teen is more aware of their educational options, they are more likely to follow through and be successful.
For young adults who may feel lost or afraid to take the next step or question going in a different direction is also difficult. Young adults are also developmentally not at a place to make a life altering decision. Committing to an educational or career path can be overwhelming for a young adult. Having a career is not easy work and even when we have a career, some of us do not enjoy it. Through career counseling young adults can explore what options they have as far as education and job openings. Young adults who come to meet with a career counselor typically report more job satisfaction and are happier in their work life balance.
