I strive to meet all my clients exactly where they are at in life and work collaboratively with them to ensure that our sessions are geared towards their specific goals. We are all unique individuals that feel and process life experiences in our own way.

My primary treatment approaches include CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care. I often use the concepts of mindfulness and the mind-body connection as a foundation of my work. I implement creative interventions to explore each of my clients individual needs during our time together. YOU are the expert of your life and I am here to support you every step of the way. I am looking forward to working with you and being a part of your journey to your healthiest self.

Why I Became a Therapist: I chose to become a therapist because I have always had a deep passion for helping others. From a young age, I’ve been guided by a strong intuition, which often led me to be seen as the "sensitive" one among my friends. Over time, I came to understand that this sensitivity was simply my empathetic nature at work. I’ve always had a unique ability to connect with people on a deeper, more meaningful level, and I find great fulfillment in offering support to others.

Throughout my own life, I’ve faced my share of challenges, which has given me valuable insight into the struggles that many people go through. I understand how difficult it can be to navigate tough times, and that’s why I am so passionate about being there for others on their healing journey. Being able to guide someone through their own process of growth and recovery is something I deeply cherish, and it’s what continually fuels my dedication to this work.

Therapist Introduction: Ms. Caitlin, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Pre-Licensed in the state of Florida, graduated in 2023 with her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Addictions and Substance Abuse. Ms. Caitlin is also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mental Health First Aid. Caitlin is extremely passionate about building a genuine connection with her clients.

One of the most important aspects of the therapeutic relationship is trust; clients are free to share their experiences in these sessions without the fear of being judged.

Caitlin has over five years experience in the Mental Health field as she has worked in a variety of mental health settings including intensive outpatient care, partial hospitalization care, substance use detoxification, integrated healthcare, and private practice.

The majority of the populations she is passionate about working with comes from her own story. Growing up as a dancer and athlete, Caitlin experienced several body image and self-esteem related issues, as well as an unhealthy relationship with food.

Overtime, through her own healing, Caitlin has found the mind-body connection to be a powerful one, and often uses this as a foundation of her work with a multitude of clients.

Ms. Caitlin sees her clients as a whole person with many parts that make them who they are. She often uses her knowledge of the mind-and body to help clients identify the somatic symptoms or sensations they experience when they are in distress. Her holistic approach allows clients to increase their awareness of self, and recognize how their experiences impact them both internally and externally to promote healing all around. Ms. Caitlin was fortunate enough to know that she wanted to be a therapist from age 12.

Caitlin began the dual enrollment program in her hometown of Ocala, Florida at the young age of 16, and started her Associates of Arts degree in psychology at the College of Central Florida while still in high school. Shortly after turning 19, Ms. Caitlin received her A.A. Degree in Psychology and transferred to the University of South Florida to complete her undergraduate degree in Psychology as well.

During her Undergraduate degree, Caitlin was a part of the Stigma Action Research Lab (STAR Lab) as an assistant researcher in hopes of ending the stigma towards mental health. While a part of the STAR Lab, Ms. Caitlin worked with “This is My Brave”; a talent show to promote mental health awareness, and educate the community about the impacts of stigma towards mental health. Following the completion of her B.A. in Psychology, Ms. Caitlin continued to attend the University of South Florida and completed her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Addictions and Substance Abuse.

Caitlin has made it a mission to continue to end the stigma towards mental health and encourages others to speak more freely about their own mental health experiences through platforms like social media, and organizations like “This is My Brave.”

Aside from providing therapy, Ms. Caitlin is also passionate about creative expression and the arts in general! She has been a dancer now for 20 years and has been teaching dance professionally for several years now. Ms. Caitlin loves being able to work in environments that support both her love for dance, and therapy. Ms. Caitlin believes that mental and physical health go hand in hand and is passionate about using her love for the creative arts to help individuals find healing and closure in whatever ways they need to.
